Half-day Massage school in Chiang Mai
Westerners who have never had the pleasure of a massage should look into this half day massage school in Chiang Mai. Or better yet, in accordance with the pampering culture that is so very Asian, have a few massages first. Whether you like Thai massage, Oil massage or prefer foot massage is personal of course.
My eye-opening moment was at an airport during a red-eye flight transfer. Tired and physically exhausted, an older lady applied her thumbs to the back of my skull, slowly working her way down along my spine. This pressure-point massage felt like electricity dancing up and down my spine, and let me tell you – if you never had a good massage, you don’t know what you are missing out on!
Khun Kloy, the owner of the massage school, first learned the art of Northern Thai (Lanna) style massage back in 1994 at the age of 15 years old in Lamphun province from her mother. Over the years, she managed to create an environment with Sabai De Ka Massage School where students will find a relaxing atmosphere where you can learn and practice your technique at the same time – it’s fun.
Participating in a massage course will allow you to learn this art from professional and experienced teachers. All courses offered combine practical and theoretical knowledge, allowing you to pick-up different massage techniques.
Half a day is a little on the short side, so we do recommend looking into our full one-day massage course as well.
